What's Involved
Find out how to purchase an affordable home in the LC Valley, and realize your dream of homeownership.
This is a real commitment, and the process can take several months. Families selected agree to become “partner” families. That means that we partner with you and your family over the long term, through the entire process and throughout the life of your mortgage.
Both Lewiston - Clarkston Partners Habitat For Humanity and its partner families agree to work closely together, and if selected, you will:
- Assume a 20-30 year mortgage
- Attend homeownership classes
- Attend Habitat events
- Agree not to sell your home without Lewiston - Clarkston Partners Habitat For Humanity approval

- Pay 1% down payment
- Maintain your home
- Have your photo taken
- Put in a minimum of 500 hours of “Sweat Equity”

- Legal residency in Nez Perce County or Asotin County
- Need for decent, affordable housing

Get an Application
To get an application, you must attend an orientation session.
Selection
The Lewiston - Clarkston Partners Habitat For Humanity Family Selection Committee follows a step-by-step Family Selection Process. The committee reviews, interviews, verifies and visits homes of potential home buyers.
The Lewiston - Clarkston Partners Habitat For Humanity’s Board of Directors provides the final approval of selected families.
